Sergio Lujan joined Sprott in June 2016. Before joining Sprott, Sergio spent five years at Mackenzie Investments, one of Canada’s largest investment management firms, where he worked in various roles. He received the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute in May 2016 and graduated from Brock University with a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in 2010. Following graduation, Sergio worked for the Ministry of Education in Madrid, Spain for one year before returning to Toronto to begin his career in finance at Mackenzie Investments.
Sergio is bilingual in English and Spanish, and lives in Toronto, Canada. He is an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for baseball, supporting both the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees. Sergio also holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, administered by Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
