Michael Rosen

Michael has over 20 years of financial services experience specializing in asset management. Currently at Northstar, Michael works with families and small businesses on financial planning and investment management. He believes that investing with purpose will lead to better outcomes for clients. In order to accomplish this, he works with clients on understanding their financial situation, risk tolerance, goals, cash flow needs and time horizon. Combined he can help create a superior financial plan and strategy to execute client’s objectives.

Michael currently runs eight different investment strategies utilizing proprietary research. His true passion is working one on one with clients: educating them, planning for them and investing for them. He spends time consulting with small business owners helping them take their businesses to the next level. Having invested in large companies for years he is able to take that insight and personal experiences in running a small business to help challenge business owners to drive higher profitability and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Northstar Advisory Group Michael was an institutional portfolio manager at various financial institutions including: JP Morgan, Bear Stearns, ING, John Levin & Co, Deutsche Bank and Ark Asset Management. Michael has run billions of dollars across multiple strategies for Institutions, High Net Worth and Retail investors through separately managed accounts and mutual funds. His portfolios have consisted of a bottoms up process using Fundamental, Quantitative and Technical disciplines. He has managed Large/Mid Cap Equity, Asset Allocation, Long/Short and Enhanced Index portfolios.

Michael majored in Finance and Economics and minored in Marketing at the University of Hartford.

He lives with his wife Stacy and their three kids Hailey, Chase and Lexi in Bucks County, PA. He loves spending time with the family and friends, playing and watching sports and exercising. As a veteran portfolio manager, he also spends a lot of time reading and researching companies.
