Lawrence Hing has worked as an attorney in financial services and compliance for over thirty years. He is a lecturer for IACCP (the Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional Program). He started his career at the Division of Enforcement for the US SEC, and subsequently worked for major law firms, including the Wilson Sonsini law firm, where he has successfully represented clients in major securities lawsuits and investigations and enforcement actions by the US SEC, including published legal decisions in the Northern District of California. His career in compliance included being the Chief Compliance Officer for Aperio Group, a quantitative investment adviser which had $51B AUM before being acquired by BlackRock. He then served as Head of Compliance for Aperio Group during the transition of that business to being a unit of BlackRock. Lawrence is presently Chief Compliance Officer of Mission Creek Capital Partners, Inc, a boutique investment adviser headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Walnut Creek.
