Joe assists business owners, executives, and affluent families in the areas of retirement planning, estate planning, business succession planning, and investment advisory services. Joe takes pride in identifying a variety of financial planning options and potential opportunities followed by clear guidance aiming to ensure his clients make the most informed decisions for their business and family. Through speaking engagements on financial planning topics, Joe has addressed trade associations, non-profit organizations, and classrooms to include the Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM), the International Association of Ice Cream Distributors and Vendors (IAICDV), Catersource, Saint James School, Howard Community College, The National Aquarium, and the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Academy.

He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Financial Services Institute (FSI), the Society of Financial Services Professionals (FSP), and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Joe was a past board member as well as chairman of the FPA of Maryland’s Membership, NexGen, and Government Advocacy committees.

In 2017, Joe was recognized as one of “Maryland’s Finest” young professionals by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As a part of his total online and auction campaign, Joe raised over $20,000 for the CF Foundation. Joe currently sits on the board for CFF of Maryland. For the ninth consecutive year, Joe was recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager*, as featured previously in Baltimore Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and Forbes Magazine. Forbes also recognized Joe as a Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisor in 2018 and 2019.

Joe earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) as well as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). He holds his Series 7 and Series 24 registrations through LPL Financial, Series 66 Registration through ADE, LLC, as well as holding Life and Health Insurance licenses.

Prior to joining Armstrong Dixon, Joe was an adviser with Planning Solutions Group. During his stint at PSG, Joe served on the firm’s investment committee. As part of a team effort, he helped make investment decisions on over $530 million of client assets.

While earning his bachelor degree at Washington College, Joe was awarded the Department of Business Management Award given to a graduate who shows outstanding qualities of scholarship, character, and leadership. Joe was also the captain of the school’s basketball team.

When not in the office or spending time with his wife and sons, Joe can likely be found watching the Orioles, Wizards, or Terps.
