James is a principal and co-founder at Redmont Wealth Management, LLC. Prior to co-founding Redmont, James was with Advisory Research for 24 years, acting as a portfolio manager for the small-cap value and mid-cap value strategies. He also led the high-net worth advisory practice at the firm. Prior to joining Advisory Research, James graduated from the University of Chicago where he worked with Nobel prize winner Eugene Fama at the Center for Research in Securities Prices for several years. James also graduated with his MBA from Northwestern University.

James is committed to giving back to the global community. He is on the Board of Advisors of Pencils of Promise, a charity that builds schools and promotes education worldwide, and also supports the Redford Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
