Craig Asher is an active investor in early-stage biotech since 2010. Several biotechs where he was an early-stage investor are now world-changing commercial platforms including 10X Genomics, Twist Bioscience, Ginkgo Bioworks, and QuantaLife (owned by Bio-Rad). He co-founded OMX Ventures in 2020 to help advance another group of early-stage biotechs to being commercial successes. The OMX Ventures team is now raising its second fund. Prior to OMX he worked as a product manager at IBM, Trigo Technologies (purchased by IBM), and Commerce One, and as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He has 2 masters degrees from Northwestern University (MS in industrial engineering and MBA), and an undergraduate degree from Stanford University. He is slowly working towards a 3rd masters degree in biotech. In his few spare hours he enjoys running, reading, travel, debates, dog-walking, and spending time with his family.
