Christopher “Chris” Tocco is a Principal and Senior Investment Consultant on Mercer’s Not-For-Profit Investment Consulting team. He works with Endowments, Foundations, Healthcare Organizations and other non-profit organizations on all aspects of their investment portfolio, including investment policy creation, asset allocation and manager selection.
Prior to joining Mercer, he spent time in both institutional investment consulting and asset management. Within consulting, Chris spent 15 years, split between time at Hammond Associates and Summit Strategies Group (prior to Mercer acquiring both predecessor firms). During his tenure, he gained valuable experience working directly with clients, as well as in a senior research capacity. On the asset management side, Chris was Senior Vice President at Acadian Asset Management, where his main role was to serve as a Consultant Relations Officer working broadly with external investment consulting firms to meet the investment goals of our common clients through targeted asset management mandates and solutions-oriented strategies. Mercer was Chris’ most significant partnership across advisory and delegated/OCIO implementation. In addition, he was a contributing member on Acadian’s ESG Investment Committee.
Chris holds an MBA and BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is past Vice President on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for Duo Dogs, Inc. (f.k.a. as Support Dogs, Inc.), a national non-profit located in St. Louis, MO. He also served on the Education Committee for the CFA Society of St. Louis and is a member of the CFA Society North Carolina.
